On Sár-hegy, north of Pákozd, and in the area to the SE of it, granite forms rock groups of different sizes and shapes. The granite rocks are covered by cracks, which divide the rock into large rectangular columns. On these surfaces, the rock crumbles and weathers. Due to the weathering of the surface, the edges of the granite blocks have worn off. The residue was carried away by the wind and rainwater, so the blocks separated from each other. These formations are the so-called moving stones.

10. Venice lake reed maze and wildlife

The fauna of Lake Venice is extremely complex, with regard to the fish and the unique birdlife.

Among the legends of the area, the mysterious floating reed islands have always played a prominent role. Accompanied by a professional guide (or with GPS), we can take exploratory canoe tours, the purpose of which is to get to know the aquatic world of the lake, to discover ancient fishing traps and secret paths. The undisturbed nature of the area was indicated by the increasing number of waterfowl. In addition to a great egret and a red heron, we also saw the little cormorant that settled a few years ago. Despite the muddy shallow water, there are still floating reed islands, "torn", which can be swept away by wind and water currents. We also saw pike in the transparent water next to the roots of the reeds.

The Nádasdyak was originally intended as a teaching house, which is why it was built of brick instead of adobe, but at the time of the writer's birth, the "aristocracy" of the manor's servants, the craftsmen - masons, machinists, blacksmiths - lived in the building.
